H. Craig Heller and Dennis Grahn spent almost twenty years on the study of temperature control process. They developed rapid thermal exchange (RTX) that may control the temperature irregularity in mammals.

The blood vessels that dissolve heat generated in the body find in the hairless skin surfaces such as palm, ear, nose and cheeks. The device sends blood into these blood vessels and by the process; the body get rid of extra-heat quickly.

They found that heat loss is not consistent in the parts of the body. The Journal of Applied Physiology first published the research of these scientists in 1998.



Heat removing from the body is as like as giving a drink of water for thirst. Some critics said that this cooling process might stimulate the natural signals of body to stop.



Further, scientists continued the study of restorative uses for cooling. Multiple sclerosis causes 1/2-degree Celsius rise in body temperature. It may lead to physical decline.
