The source of the anthrax-by-mail attacks remains a mystery. Lot of people fall prey to the deadly substance that is found in spills from an envelope. At the moment, there is no technology for the first responders to identify that whether the powder contains any anthrax spores. Professor Lou Reinisch of the University of Canterbury (NZ) has developed a lightweight and hand held technology, the Veritide bacterial spore detector to fight this poisonous panic. The Veritide bacterial spore detector is easy to use and is able to detect the anthrax spores within no time. The ground-breaking Veritide is about the size of a coffee mug and will start shipping in the Q1 of 2007. It will be globally accepted to fight the bioterrorism.
