
While the Bang & Olufsen Medicom has already a medication device named “Helping HandTM”, they have teamed up with AstraZeneca AB to develop a “new patient monitor that measures patient compliance”.

The Helping Hand is based on the blister cards and lets the reminds the patients to take medications at the proper time by intimating through visual signals (red, yellow and green).
The unique device has a storage compartment for the medications/tablets in its blister pack. Moreover the device is compatible with Bluetooth and it can function via a USB wire cable.
The Helping HandTM has won the prestigious, international iF design award and the GOOD DESIGN award 2005.
