Mansoor Amiji at Northeastern University and MIT’s Robert Langer have developed a new nano-sized drug capsule to shrivel the Ovarian Cancer Tumors. It could be a great achievement as the ovarian cancer is quite difficult to treat and the survival chances are too less.
The research was carried out by injecting the mice (with ovarian cancer) with pH-sensitive nanoparticle with paclitaxel (a cancer drug). The success of the research is mentioned in the journal Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology.
The new drug efficiently kills the ovarian cancer cells. I think the novel drug will be soon made public to ease the patients suffering from ovarian cancer.
