
The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) has recently installed LiveData’s OR-Dashboard through out its twenty-one new operating rooms. This LiveData OR-Dashboard, called as ‘wall of knowledge’, comprises all relevant information of patients and important data from other sources. It will be visible to entire medical team.
It conveys all video, image, and patient information together on a single board. The ‘wall of knowledge’ comprises four large displays i.e. OR-Dashboard screen, an display for surgical video, laboratory images and two real-time PACS monitors for X-Rays images. There is a touch-screen control panel for handling all video, image, and OR controls.
Roger Wilson, MD, Chairman, Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at MSKCC says, this technology makes ensure patient safety with efficient and high-quality care. It organizes and endows with a multipart collection of information and images during surgery.
